CASTLE CLUGGY TRUST has approved the preliminary work needed to get the project moving ahead in 2020. Expert land surveyors have been instructed to conduct an accurate topographical survey of the site early in the new year, essential to give a better understanding of the various lumps and bumps and allow paths and access routes to be planned; and an accredited conservation architect will undertake a measured survey of the existing castle building to supplement the topographic survey; and then prepare some plans and elevations for general discussions and for use in funding applications.
