CONGRATULATIONS to the Chairman and Head Trustee who has been awarded the Murray Clan Society of North America's medal for special service to the Society. He became a life member of the Murray Clan Society (Edinburgh) in October 1981 during the International Gathering of the Clans, and later served as Convenor between 1987-1990 at a fairly young age. He also designed and matriculated the Society’s Coat of Arms with Lord Lyon King of Arms. The medal bears the design of the Shield which he designed. The Chairman said: "I am honoured to have been awarded this splendid medal and ribbon, which I shall wear with pride. My long-held ambition was to carry the Murray Clan Society forward to a new era for future generations of fellow Murrays. Our overseas cousins have set a wonderful example by keeping that ambition alive".
