Castle Cluggy

Our Supporters

THIS PAGE ACKNOWLEDGES the support provided by individual people and organisations who, by their contribution, have demonstrated their commitment to help us preserve and restore this important piece of Scottish heritage. These names will be entered into castle records as part of an enduring record of those who have helped to protect Castle Cluggy's heritage and preserve it for future generations.

The Trust gratefully acknowledges the support of the present proprietor of the OCHTERTYRE ESTATE who agreed to Castle Cluggy Charitable Trust taking on Castle Cluggy for the benefit of the nation. He is a worthy successor of an honoured line and his generous consideration for the public in granting the fullest facilities for their enjoyment deserves the highest praise.

We are immensely proud that the owners of THE GLENTURRET DISTILLERY, makers of the famous Lalique crystal, provided a donation which gave a vital kick-start to get the project moving ahead. We are delighted to have secured the support of such a significant commercial sponsor, which truly makes a difference and is very much valued.

MR. STEPHEN LECKIE, HER MAJESTY'S LORD-LIEUTENANT FOR PERTH AND KINROSS, chairman and chief executive of Crief Hydro family of hotels, kindly agreed to become patron of Castle Cluggy Charitable Trust, and has pledged to raise the profile of the charity, providing vital publicity for its work. His professional reputation, connections with people all around the world, and his passion and enthusiasm to promote the area provide the perfect platform to start conversations and spread the message.

THE JUNIPER FUND (Scottish Heritage Scholarship), established in 2010 by THE MURRAY CLAN SOCIETY OF NORTH AMERICA in an effort to educate, promote, and preserve the heritage and traditions of both Scotland and the Murray clan, awarded Castle Cluggy Charitable Trust a grant to be used for the maintenance, repair, and preservation of Castle Cluggy. We are very pleased to have their support.

The Castle and the Trust are self-financing through generous donations. We currently receive no grants.  Therefore, please consider making a donation towards the preservation of Castle Cluggy. We would very much value your support. To make a donation, cheques (in £ sterling please) should be made payable to CASTLE CLUGGY CHARITABLE TRUST. If you wish to use online banking, electronic transfers can be made directly to the Castle Cluggy Charitable Trust's account. Please email your name and address for the bank details to: castle-cluggy@hotmail.com.
