TODAY a topographical survey and photographic survey will be carried out at Castle Cluggy between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The topographcal survey will consist of digital survey setup to record the extents of the castle, other archaeological monuments in the vicinity and the extent of the promontory upon which it is sited. The photographic survey will consist of terrestrial digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) photography and aerial photography via drone. The photographic survey and topographical survey will be georeferenced, which means that geographic information will be added to the digital images and aerial photo images so that the mapping software can 'place' the image in its appropriate real world location.
