DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD

Added on 28 October 2019

A PLAN OF ACTION has been agreed with an accredited conservation architect and we are actively working with some significant partners, including PERTH AND KINROSS ASSOCIATION OF THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD, whose Starfish Way programme, supports and connects with young people with a range of 'hands-on' opportunities to help them discover their full potential. This is an amazing opportunity for them to train with specialist crafts people and it could be the first step towards a brand new career. The preliminary archaeological work could provide training and participation opportunities under the professional supervision of experts, from excavation using hand tools, to washing and processing the finds, to having a go at repairing medieval stone rubble walling and other traditional and specialist skills.
